Cedar Vale in the Fall ?
« on: October 09, 2017, 12:28:58 PM »
 Curious if any of you Kansas , Oklahoma , Missouri ,Nebraska and Arkansas folks are interested in a small gathering
Oct 20-22 at the pavilion ? Fri night meal something simple , Sat night pasta spamavera . Weather forecast looks good , although there is no real way to predict out that far . Was thinking we could ride thru the amazing wind farm just South in Oklahoma , curvy little hiway that gets really close to the wind mills , feels like you can reach out and touch them .

 Just a thought .

Are Texans being excluded?

Also, do you have the right dates?  24-26 of October?
Accentuate the positive;
Eliminate the negative;
Latch on to the affirmative;
Don't mess with Mister In-Between.

 Dangit , the dates should read 20-22 , will correct .

 Of course Texans aren't excluded , just didn't think any would want to travel that far .

Have to be in Hays that weekend for a niece's wedding. My schedule is just all screwed up this year for attending rallies.

Don't move it on account of me. I also have obligations the following weekend so wouldn't help me anyway. If anyone would end of there on Thursday I might be able ride up Thursday afternoon, spend the night and leave mid-day Friday. Will see.

I'm up for whenever....

This weekend..and the 27th...are my alternating off Fridays FWIW.

I enjoy that southern loop. Seeing the wind farm along with the oil rigs is an interesting contrast. (KS 15/OK 18, right?) Coming back up 99 isn't too shabby either..and it can't help but feel appropriate to pass thru Chautauqua, KS...especially as a prelude to an evening at the pavilion.

 OK fellas , do we take a chance and wait until early November , or do we go with the 20th or 27th . Leroy can make the 27th , it looks like GJ is out until early November . Help me out here , was really trying to have one last gathering before Winter , and give the guys who couldn't make the Okie a chance to meet up .

No promises, but I would try to make it up there in later part of October or early November.

Weather can be dicey at those times.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

 So the 27th ? We can adjust on the fly , can order some firewood in advance , and we can buy supplies at the store . I have connections in CV as you guys know  :laugh:
