Been working since last summer - that's what allowed me to buy the Stelvio! If things keep steady on this contract, I hope to add a Griso to the fold in the next few months. I didn't see anything in the Mecum list that makes me say 'gotta have that', but I can always delay the Griso if a bargoon comes along!

See you then...

Hi Tony - Good to hear from you and thanks for the update!  :thumb:

My last work gig ended 10-13-17, so I am now looking around for something else again...should have an update by Jan.

Looking forward to seeing you again in two months!  Take care!  Can't go wrong with a Griso!  I almost bought one, but then the Centauro GT came along...no regrets!

Matching frame and engine numbers, they say... but only the one photo. If the other side looks as nice it might be an attractive machine.

Thanks, tazio!  :thumb:   Despite all our combined knowledge of vintage bikes, every year, we see one bike no one has ever heard of!  I think last year was a restored IZH 350 (Russian?).  Like this one...

The annual Vegas auction is always interesting, always fun, and always a party!

I wish...I am in between gigs (again), and with no disposable income.  So, sadly, I am just "dreaming...tire kicking... and widow shopping..."

Besides, I am fixing up a '93 Triumph Sprint 900 to sell right now.  For now, my '98 Centauro GT and '14 Victory Vision will have to do...

Yes, all these auction houses seem to move bikes to future auctions when they don't sell...

Well, widow-shopping is one way to get more disposable funds - just be careful choosing the widow!

Hi AZ Wayne - How are you?  You may be right about riding practicality, but when it comes to rarity /exclusivity / and the collectible factor...especially at the world's largest vintage motorcycle auction, I would say...all bets are off (IMHO),

So we'll see what she brings in January!   My prediction still holds - it will sell...and for BIG BUCKS! :thumb: :1:

I know the Mystery Ship was a followup on the beautiful monocoque design of the Hurricane.
I know Craig Vetter's reputation as a designer.

But I never thought the Mystery Ship was attractive.
I thought Paul Tracy's stuff was nicer.

JJ, you can prove me wrong.  And big bucks is a realative term.  But I don't see it.

Well now...that two (2) "NAYSAYERS" - - you and AZ Wayne!!

Big Bucks (my take...) maybe $20,000-$25,000 - - that's Big Bucks to me

We'll see...and here is ANOTHER Craig Vetter creation coming across the block!!

While we can all "banter about" regarding the Craig Vetter Mystery Ship Kawasaki and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane..... THIS outstanding example of a original (11K miles!!) 1979 Suzuki GS1000S will definitely bring over $20,000      :thumb: :1:
