There are several guys here that have helped me in the past two years with my Calvin. I would like to give a special thanks and appreciation to Mr Beetle for sticking it out with me, getting the open loop map squared away for me. He stuck by me for two months making adjustments and tweaking it to perfection!!!
I would also like to give a special thanks to Kev. He has taken his time on several occasions to school me in PM response to my questions. It’s was obvious it took a lot of his time to do so.
Thanks to sheepdog for the same schooling he has given me.
There were others but I think I pestered these guys the most.
Thanks to all the guys who gives of their time to help us less knowledgeable. :)

I couldn't begin to list the people that have added to my education. I won't for fear of forgetting someone. Many don't post much, but when they do, I pay attention. I've never asked a tech question that hasn't been answered within 12 hours. I don't know of anywhere else with this level of expertise.
As RK mentioned, education is expensive. Think about a small donation.. it's incredibly cheap (Guzzi content) in comparison.

Let’s not forget Mark Ethtidge for his incredible depth of knowledge and his generosity, Mark actually sent me cleaned Eldo block for free years ago because he was concerned with the condition of my original one after I foolishly bead blasted it

Curtis and Mike Harper who willingly give their decades of knowledge for free. More than once Mike has picked up the phone and just called to lend some advice that has proven invaluable

Greg Bender for his incredible web site and wire harness kits.

MG Cycle for always filling a parts order no matter how small it is.

Charlie for knowing the answer to all things Loop and Tonti

I would never have kept my Jackal as long as I did, nor bought my B11 or V7 if it weren't for the many excellent contributors to this site who both came before me and went further on all these things. The support from this site has been more valuable than any local dealer.

And I'm not just talking about the big names who pull the heavy weight like Pete, Beetle, Wayne, etc. I'm talking about each contributor who learned and shared as they did.

The trouble with this topic is that it made me realise that there are some people that I have forgotten :embarrassed: and very sorry. In no particular order, I thank rodekyll, Daniel Kalal, canuck750, Dusty, fotoguzzi , Kiwi_Roy and OldJock.

+1  Thanks to so many here..... it's an awesome site. About 15 years ago I bought a few books on restoring and old Guzzi. I've wanted to do that for so long. Well..... Charlie and Patrick will be helping me start on that dream very shortly. I don't think I would attempt it without the resources here. Pete has been fantastic with info on the Stelvio; advice I've used a number of times. Gregory Bender has also been very good with advice and willingness to help.

Cheers and beers to all..... :boozing:

Wide open on the appreciation dial to all of you for sharing huge knowledge, knowledge, no knowledge; this is a great forum. Well run, friendly, esoteric, entertaining, and enlightening. Also one donation stronger.

There are very few occasions when I wish I lived closer to the masses of humanity (anywhere south of 60) but reading the camaraderie built-up through gatherings here and there does twist that desire just a smidgeon.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum from over the pond here.

This thread reminded me of how much I’ve learned from sites like this and it even prompted me to put my hand in my pocket in recognition that it costs money to keep places like this alive.

I'd also like to add my thanks to all who have assisted me over the years. Some notables come to mind, Rodekyll, Kiwi Roy, and especially Fotoguzzi for lending his clutch tools thru the mail.  Let's also not forget those that continue to host the Rallys and the NARs !

I'm reading this thread with thanks to all especially to Frank Wedge who agreed with Luap for the forum.  Thanks to Luap for seeing the forum as a way to carry communications for the Owners Club and beyond.  This inspired others to have other model specific forums too.   :thumb:

Hey, while we're on the subject, where's charlie b been lately?

Been months since we've heard boo from him ... as I think of people's contributions and individuals that contribute, just noticed that he hasn't been here much ... ?

I am still utterly clueless as to what the bloody hell "steel cut oats" are...
Or..
The principles involved in the black science of countersteering..
Or..
What the best oil for my big block Guzzi is
Or..
The pro's and con's of (hitchhiking)... sorry, track offset..

All I do know for sure is that everyone else is wrong....
Except Kev... :boxing:
Seriously, thanks to Beetle and Pete (free beer and steak @ the Royal early next month for them) and a big thanks to Canuck 750 and Old Jock for making me realise that I know 3/5 th's of 5/8 th's of sweet bugger all, when contemplating restorations.
Keeps me grounded..

No matter how serious or silly the questions I've asked here they were always answered clearly and often with an offer to "swing by and help"!!!

Thanks to Luap and the moderators...good job and thanks for putting up with the never ending job of "herding cats"....especially that scruffy one that calls Cedar Vale his second home!

Without Pete Roper and many others I wouldn't have attempted the things I've done with my Guzzi's over the years.

There is nothing quite like the WildGuzzi community...whether you own a Guzzi or not! I think that's what makes this board so special.....

There's every chance Luap will nuke this before I get to press "post", but at the risk of embarrassing the bloke..
I'd like to chip in a few bucks to finance a weekend away for him and his girl, as a thank you for the countless hours he devotes to this place and for having the energy and acumen to build and run the bastard.

I'll add Dusty to the list, he keeps us on track!  and with the realization everyone that contributes helps, even if it's to ask a question. Sometimes the  question hadn't been thought of.
But this topic is about the ones that are able to teach us fellow enthusiasts. Thanks !
