Moto Guzzi Multimedia Platform
« on: May 17, 2022, 01:41:30 PM »
Does anyone use it?

Is it worth the over $300 for the components?

Seems like a very expensive way to get a tach on my V9.

I considered it but after reading reviews on Google Play Store I walked away. Seems like a real buggy app.

I've had it 3 years on the Stornello. I like it mostly. Has some good features, and you can configure the screen in the format and pattern you like. I like being able to see voltage, gear, fuel economy, and digital speed/tach while riding. You have to manually pair it each time you shut the bike off which is a pain.

The 'menu' of what can be displayed is pretty extensive but I would like it much more if there was some sort of temp readings similar to what you can see in Guzzi Diag. It has some interesting features like changing the color of the Eagle based on how aggressive you are in the throttle (showing fuel economy) as well as letting you set the TC, changes screen color when you have TC off, screen flashing on over rev.

I bought the unit and bracket from AF1 on sale, was easy plug and play install.

I use it mostly for the rpm but some of the other functions are fun, some seem pointless.
Had no issues setting it up, and has been completely bug free for years.

I notice there are two brain-boxes - the older bigger one, and a smaller one.

Are they interchangeable?
