LM2 fairing dayglo
« on: July 27, 2021, 12:12:23 PM »
Im thinking of adding the dayglo flash to my LM2s fairing.
Has anyone done a similar job?; did you spray or go with a decal?

I bought a sheet of self adhesive dayglo foil, and made the sticker myself

My only worry would be cutting the edges, I guess laser cut would be the way to go; how did you fabricate yours, please don't say scissors?
Do you have a photo of your finished article?

I did read that they were available from the US, but I've only managed to find the LM3 items.

I don't have it fitted any more as I replaced it with an LM1 fairing but the original on mine has dayglo orange on the front. I assume this is how it came from the factory? and they do appear to be stuck on.

Stein-Dinse have started selling a decal set, so I ordered and fitted them.
My camera can't cope too well with the dayglo, so it looks more like yellow in the photo.
The fairing is an Airtech item and although the paint scheme is based on original, it varies from standard; however, I like how it has turned out.
