Freccia piston rings.
« on: April 13, 2021, 10:39:37 PM »
I have been supplied with a set of Freccia rings.
I had a look at them and decided to send them back.
The oil ring is only 2mm deep and the original is at least 3mm.
The original shows wear to a depth of 2mm in the groove.
This means the Freccia ring will start with only 1 mm engagement in the groove.
Also I suspect it may be chrome faced.
The engine is my Sport 1100, needs a fix up after bending an inlet valve.
So new valves, guides, rings and cam followers.
Cheers, voncrump
