Some Hondas Are Tough
« on: July 08, 2019, 01:53:06 PM »
This Honda VTX1300 bike (166,xxx miles)  is down for an oil leak, and a charging issue and then the general "once-over".

Here's a shot of the bottom of the radiator.  It is unknown how long its been in this condition.

Of course, all of the coolant had long since escaped - and it still appears to run, just fine.  Evidently, these Honda are like cockroaches - hard to kill.
The good news is that the radiator = $140.  Voltage regulator = $50.  And, antifreeze is cheap.

Original stator, still making 'lectric.

So..you're saying a liquid cooled engine had  all the coolant leak out and runs on like nothing happened for 100's of miles?? That sure is interesting...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0thsG1v6w8
