A gathering of geese

Literally. My duck/goose hunters made yesterday their last day and had no luck. Pictures from today...party! Don't tell me nature does not have social media.















The last picture's weird lighting, etc. is due to it being so dry here and so many geese that they were causing dust clouds with the setting sun behind.

so hunting season was still open until yesterday? out bird hunting season ends in November..

The season ends at the end of the month but they had not had much luck lately so they were hanging it up early.

Nice pic's, John.  It does seem like they know somehow, doesn't it?  Wish we could see clouds of 'em like that here (near Lake Erie).  We have another week or so here, but no birds to speak of.  Had a pretty good season though, for us.  My son & I are just getting into it.  This was my 1st year with both PA & NY license, & that helps (we're right on the line, literally).  Looking forward to September.

Do you have some pit blinds on your property you lease?  Wow .... never saw so many geese!  Good pics!

I have a group of three hunters. They have built their own above ground blinds. By the way the first picture probably showed about 20% of the geese there.
