Been looking into my v7 stone engines odd noises, very mechanical and knocky below 2500 rpm ( like piston slap) but soon as she clears 2500 she's lovely and smooth till the rev limiter.
stripped my new engine to discover that the left hand piston is the wrong way round from the factory...!
the arrow is pointing to the rear on the left hand cylinder and the arrow points to the front on the right hand cylinder
Cannot find any movement or damage anywhere, even the carbon pads are like new, no movement in bottom end either.
Are low rpm nocks normal for the v7 single point engine.
Have 2 v7 II engines here and i have never seen so much carbon build up on heads and pistons in my life!
my old v65tt engine was just lightly sooty after 25k miles!
