Nice bike. My sister had a '84 in the same color. I put a dual disc on it from a wrecked R65, can't remember the model, and a Pichler fairing color matched. It was a nice tourer for her.

I’ve always liked the look of the R65 but have never ridden one.  That’s a nice one in a pretty color. BaT has become the BMW channel. I’m interested to see if the R90/6 beats the 50/2. Thanks JJ.

I did a 300km ride on my 1986 R65 yesterday and it confirmed why it's my favourite bike. Simple, comfortable, fun around the mountains, plentiful spare parts and, after 15 years of ownership, very reliable.
