Who's Going to the Vancouver Show?
« on: January 18, 2019, 07:17:47 AM »
Its on this weekend.

BTW its not at Vancouver, its at Abbotsford out at the Abbotsford International Airport or Tradex out in the valley, you could fly in for the day.
No snow yet but it will be raining.
Use the Abbotsford or Sumas crossing if coming up from South of the border.
Free parking if you ride a bike.

I'm thinking about it and it sounded like Timmy was as well.  It sounded like he was planning on Sunday.

Ya, I am popping by Sunday noon with another friend.

Looks from some photos of some other friends took already, it seems both Red (not exactly sure as it was at some distance) & Macdonald Color V85TT are there.... :thumb:

as well as the new Triumph Scram1200...BOTH models too...

Saturday is Family Day and Friday is date night :P...

I skip those, I might as well not go home LOL...

Well Guess who was there.

The V85 and I got to sit on it  :thumb: :thumb:
They only had the one.

I had to take the Roamer for Kiwi Kev, he just bought one.

I hope I got enough detail for you

I have always been partial to old Ariels since I had a couple when I was young and foolish.
Oops, its a BSA, I never knew they made those.

I wandered back to Piaggio to take a few more pictures.

Roy, were you able to observe whether the panniers and top box were removable, and what sort of hardware remained if they were?

The panniers I could live with, but not sure about that huge top box.  I have a holding deposit on one, but no commitment yet.  The bags are offered as an extra, so it's either these or wait for a C-Bow offering.

Yes removable, I think all you will be left with on the bags is the silver loop you can see.

In spite of what others have said I think the front fender looks nice.
I would take the bags, they look the part, not so sure about the top box but I'm sure it's cheaper to buy up front.
I think you are going to be really pleased with this bike.

I'm with you guys, the top box is too big and looks out of scale. If I can market some bikes will take a serious look at a V85.

I'm about 5'10' and found it very comfortable unlike the Stelvio which is just too tall for me.

Good sir! Ur report def is a lot more detail than mine :P

But ya, I agree with u...this bike is nice...finishing is up there, no weird tidy up area, overall ergo really fits most of riders who are under 6'-0" and still plenty of room for taller guys.

As for rest of the show, def a lot more bikes & gears for sale this year. A lot more buzz for sure. Wasn't boring as how the past few years were.

Agreed with buying everything upfront on the boxes & thanks for checking if the top box is removable...I forgot LOL

Was told by the rep that EVERYTHING you see there on the display WITH boxes is offering @ 14,990 Canadian...

That is one hella bang for the buck deal...even if you want to upgrade and add some accessories, that will still not break your bank...

I was so tempting putting down the deposit too until I had a wake up call from my friend "don't forget about our wife and son at home"...LOL... :boozing:

But I might go back to International Motorsports these few weeks and put the deposit down so I can ensure I have a bike to test ride and see how it feels when it "supposely" arriving in mid June.
