96 1100 sport speedometer
« on: January 21, 2019, 09:33:17 AM »
So it seems I have made my first mistake owning the 1100 sport I broke the speedometer cable I thought that it was just the inner cable but it’s the out side also it got pinched in between the air box and the frame I thought that’s how it routed I was wrong I ordered what I thought was the correct cable from MG cycle when I received it I found that it was too short about 10inch shorter then the one I took off the bike MG is trying to help me but it seems I’m confusing them can any one tell me what the correct cable is or at least the length of it and does any one have any insight or pics of the correct way to rout it

The one I linked to is the one Stein-Dinse lists as the correct cable, part number 01760400. It's 1400 mm/55 1/8" long.
