Well-sorted Police Ambo on CL, color...no accounting for taste

https://images.craigslist.org/00808_fNlBdmGvpIj_600x450.jpg

Some of you may be familiar with this one, been living the good life on Coronado Isle:

https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcy/d/coronado-1971-moto-guzzi-ambassador-750/6798190438.html

Looks VERY well sorted out at that price, police frame? But I just can't imagine someone conceiving of that paint scheme, actually doing it, and standing back and saying "Yeah, THAT'S what I wanted..."

I actually don't think the paint scheme looks that bad, especially if you always wanted to name a bike "Golden Goose".   Sometimes odd non-motorcycle colors can work.

I had those bars and a solo seat on my Loop one time, and my backside twinged just looking at a picture of a similar one.

I've seen worse. The color scheme isn't something I choose but if it came to me that way I'd not change it.

Actually not a bad deal for what it is.  Hate the fish tails though.   Police bars and solo seat is the right combo.

I don't hate the paint.
I have to agree with Cam on the fish tails.   Don't like 'em.

$5k is a good price if everything stated is true.

Eh, the paint may not be my taste. It would not the first thing I would change (fishtails, light visors, white walls). Singularly each is OK, but pile them together is a bit...  busy.  I does look like a well sorted ride.

I saw this bike first listed on CL back in August.  The asking price has come down since then IIRC.  Perhaps the Energizer Battery tribute paint scheme isn't well received in Sandy Eggo.

I like it and the price is more than fair for what's advertised, IMHO

Not my fav.... but looks like the paints done well..  Id keep it.. Ditto loosing the fishtails first off!!  Visors a quick second...  Id keep the white walls on till they wear, and with the rest of the stuff cleaned up they might grow on ya.. all in all thats a nice bike for 5k IMHO

I'm sure the color and other accouterments have had an effect on the asking price. If a loop that well-sorted had a stock re-paint, I'll betcha the selling price would easily reach 6k. It's like when my wife insisted we get rid of the bathtub and re-do the entire bathroom after the kids stopped taking baths; I said "YOU might like this, but anyone looking to buy the house won't...".
