 Yes , another voice lost to substance abuse . STP was one of few bands that stood out .

 Maybe Neil Young was right , still sad .

I got to see STP level the Delta Center Arena in Salt Lake City back around '98/'99.  It wasn't just memorable.  It was remarkable.  No gimmicks.  Just a band.  It was the real deal.  Sad. There's some demons you can't outrun.
