Stock VS LaFranconi?
« on: May 12, 2018, 07:41:24 AM »
I'm considering getting a set of mufflers for a LM 1000 and have the choice of stock or LaFranconi.

What's the difference between the two besides price?

What is the difference in performance and sound?

I have a set of LaFranconi Competizione on my T5, the quality is not bad. Keep in mind that LaFranconi makes a lot of different muffler models. The Competizione model are very loud I have to say. I consider to make some new ones for my bike that hopefully is a bit less loud.

Which LaFranconi model are you considering?

I have the Mistrals on my 85 LM 1000 and love them. They have a deep, throaty sound without being excessively loud. I dont have the db killers in mine.
The quality is excellent, and Ive had some people tell me it sounds like a 5.0L V8 mustang with headers.
I have also had a couple of folks ask me if they are mufflers from a Ducati Monster....
I guess they look similar.
Rick.
