Title: Sunny Sunday
Post by: Scout63 on April 18, 2021, 06:15:07 PM
Finally a warm sunny Sunday here on Cape Cod.  I went to the dump (Trannnssfer Station), dog food store and grocery store in the truck with Lila (the lab), then alternated yardwork with any excuse to rip around on the baby Guzzi and Norton:

Both bikes are lumpy and loud, but the Norton backs it up with way more power.  The Guzzi is just pure fun at 5k.  I never once had a problem switching back and forth with the shift sides and patterns. Just for today I’m thinking that two cylinders and four pushrods is all I really need.

I hope everyone had a great Sunday.

Cherohala Skyway?

Close!  The new section of Foothills Parkway.  Spectacular road and scenery.

My Sunday was sunny, just me all alone with a well-running engine between two wheels for several hours. It was just a little different-

That's work better suited for cold, dreary days Clint!  Warms you when you split it and again when you burn it.

And BTDT too:

That new section is nice.  Too bad the northern end dumps you out so close to Pigeon Forge and all that traffic. Didn't think I'd ever get out of there!

Yeah, I know Fred.  But this unwanted tree in the front yard was unexpectedly cut down (for free, Guzzi content) a few weeks ago.  The Asplundh man knocked on door to say they were trimming right of ways in the neighborhood.  I said "Limbs?  For all I care, you can cut the whole tree down..."  So they did, took all the little stuff and left the good wood.  Lots better than the $1k quote to cut it down that I got a while back.  Had to deal with it now so I can mow the lawn. I'm behind on splitting anyways-  The bigger woodpile out back is still waiting and needing attention asap.  Too many recent cold dreary days were spent playing Toyota mechanic, among other things...

I wondered if & how you might use some of your big old tree.  Still too bad that it had to go.
