The company that gets this contract will be busy for awhile.

I’ve been along there a couple of times on the bike and it’s spectacular.
I imagine the protocols for environmental preservation are extremely onerous. The iWest Coast on the Atlantic road is very remote.

Cool concept. I wonder if there will be a effect in it with different tidal levels on each end? Im mostly familiar with the Cape Cod Canal here in the US, but with slightly different sea levels, and tide differences it can be quite a stirred up mess about half way through.

That's awesome. Large scale engineering projects always fascinate me.

Check this one out.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCT-FurFVLQ

Same transit authority.  Not sure if the cost would warrant it.  "Suspended underwater tunnel."  😳😳😳

Parts of it have been or will be built.
Other parts won't ever be, at least not in my lifetime.

All those tunnels certainly reduce the enjoyments of motorcycling!
Although I do get a kick out of entering a long and deep underwater tunnel, and after a long ride, going deeper and deeper and maybe then level for a while, I reach an intersection, where I can choose where to go. Right, to town A, one mile before I'm above the sea level again, or left, to town B, ditto.

A good thing about these projects us that they make riding on the old roads better as there's much less traffic on them.
