I’m not sure what model this is but I saw it outside a cafe in Aix France last week.

Nice pictures! Pressed frame and smaller flywheel indicate Airone.

I'm no good on the age of any Guzzi - including those I've owned/ It looks to be an Airone. Mick Walker's 'MG Engineering; on the Shores of Lake Como'. Yellow 1100 Sport on the cover, page 51. It's owned by a dear friend in Switzerland. He rides big miles. Uses high bars and a larger fuel tank. We used to meet occasionally. I'd borrow another mc in Nether Lands or France. R3~

Cool! My wife and I were in Aix en Provence two years ago, and yes, that same Guzzi Airone 250 was there in the historical city square, in that same spot. The owner must be a regular, there.

:boozing: Nice picture of you + the Misses there Mr. Low Ryder----I've been there myself, a few times being as I was a GI back then(58 years ago) Perhaps a little history about the Effile Tower is in order.I believe in every mans life there's ONE thing that stands out as some great feat that defines each of us as to who we are/what we are  WELLLLLLLLL on this trip to Paris I'd been drinking that nasty French beer, after a while it got the better of me+I puked all over(I mean all over)the underneath area between the legs of the EffileTower.About a year after that Mr. Charles Degaul removed all U.S. troops from France ------I still have to wonder if perhaps I might have had something to do with that ,as Paul Harvey used to say-----now you know the rest of the story :thumb:

Does that bike have USD forks? Kinda looks that way to me.

Yes the forks are USD, and a very clever design as well. I detailed the assembly of the forks in my 1948 Airone build post over on the build section. GUZZI was ahead of the curve on the fork design, hydraulic dampers and USD design, very rigid front end. The bronze roller guides at the base of the fixed lower leg are particularly clever IMHO.

Anyone have a photo of a Voxan,I am curious about the brand?

Yep.
A mate of mine has one and he loaned it to me for a ride from Clermont Ferrand to Vichy.
Punches hard when on the gas

Fairly uncompromising as you’d expect comfort wise and the performance is akin to Ducati’s 1098 from my experience.

Hmmmm, my father in-law lives just down the road from Aix, we'll be there in December. Will be on the lookout for this.

That’s pretty cool. Hats off to the owner and his routine.
