Guzzi Side Case removal Breva 1100
« on: February 07, 2015, 09:47:35 AM »
Just got my B11 home and need to remove a side case. The dealer where I purchased was trying to show me how to operate the cases and opened one case and could not get it closed and just removed it because I had a 600 mile drive and did not want to be delayed. I need a primer on the removal and proper opening and closing. I did not receive a manual with the bike. Oh yes, they are the Guzzi cases.

It is supposed to be near 60 here today and I am dying for a ride.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have Hepco bags on my B1100.

It sounds like you have the Guzzi bags, I believe they are the same as the Norge.

Check the archives, there should be a post if the bags have a secret handshake.

Enjoy.

....and shame on the dealer for not knowing.

Well I did get the bag that is on it closed. He tried to explain that you turn the one way to open and the other to detach, also pushing down. I just do not want to break something in the process.

I di9d ride down the drive and back a couple of times about a 100 yards, this bike is really top heavy compared to the Stelvio, I will have to be real careful.

I will try a search and see if I can come up with something.

They are a bit fiddly to be sure.  I use mine infrequently enough that I have to relearn the process each time.  :)

I have them on mine too. But, I don't like how far forward they mount. They take up foot/leg room for my passenger. One of these days, I may get around to having the HB brackets modified so that I can mount Krauser K4/K5 cases and have them mount a few inches farther to the rear than the HBs do now.
