Europe headlight for Le Mans MK1?

(1/5) > >>

wicks:
Does anyone know if a headlight that fits Le Mans original fairing and brackets properly (as on EU/RoW bikes)?

Hoping to find an older one (I'd pay good money for an actual original unit) that is curved, seems the older / originals weren't so flat and so continued in the shape of the fairing.

On a bit of a lighting kick right now, found a set of original europe H4s for my 964...how hard can it be to come across an original europe headlight for a le mans?

I did just discover an H4 bulb that fits the old P45T CEV headlight on my 1000s, so much more light and seems to not be heating up the wires. Got from Susquehanna MS.

Thanks to a tip from Charley, a V50/65 headlight will work though it has chrome trim but it is significantly less money than a Euro LMI headlight if you can find one. One of these days I need to have the trim powder coated.

Oh that's not bad is it. Just found this, I think I'm reading "APRILIA" on this headlight... if anyone has a clue the original headlight part number(s) that could prove very handy...

Powder coating is an option but a self etching primer and automotive quality rattle can like SEM urethane is nearly as durable. At least as durable as the paint on the fairing.

Confirmed in my owner's manual, the original in the rest of the world was an Aprilia unit.

Aprilia part number would be very useful...
