im not to keen on the looks of the cylinder head covers on my V7(3).
I prefer the looks of the V7(2) or the V85TT.
does anyone know if they will inter change.

I don’t know for certain, but seeing that we’re dealing with heron heads (V7II and prior) and hemi heads (V7III, V9, V85), I’m suspecting that’s probably a no-go.
-
but ...but...my V7(3) is hemi and so is the V85tt so.... maybe ?

Ozarks?

Was Todd (GT) selling retro (Heron head styled) valve covers for Hemi heads? Or was it just the 2TB style covers for early Heron 1Tb motors?
It was one or the other...
Yeah I would THINK V85 covers would work, but I'm not certain.

Fitting the older 1 TB Heron valve covers onto the newer 2 TB Heron heads.

The valve cover gasket is the same for the V7III and V85. What you don't know is the distance from the base of the valve cover to the bottom of the cover bolt depressions and are they all the same bolt pattern as far as spacing. The two bolts you can see are spaced the same for the V85 and V7III, but I'm not sure about the one under the cover in relation to the outside two. The cover looks taller on the V85, but the holes for the outside two bolts are deeper.
I was wondering if the shorter valve covers on a V7III would fit on the the V85. This might allow you to remove the two screws holding spark plug wire without having to remove or raise the gas tank when doing valve adjustments.

Or just call your nearest Guzzi dealer. chances are they'll know more immediately than anyone else.

Cadre wasn't sure....
In about 4000 miles, I can measure mine to see the distance between holes and bottom of hole to flange of each bolt location. For going to shorter covers, as in my case you just don't know if there is a rocker interference too...

Might they share the same p# with a different suffix? R3~

i don't think any of you v85TT riders are really getting out into the nasy single track much...
I expected to see loads of scratch / cracked rocker covers on E-bay... but no... several V7(3)'s however...

V7iii to V7ii is a hard no, but not sure about V7iii to v85.
