Vintage Guzzi Falcone on the market.  They don't change hands often.  Next town over the hill behind me.  I've chatted with the owner about several items but I have no direct connection to the sale.

The adverts says to call: +1-925-268-8613
That is probably a consignment dealer.
Also advertised on the Guzzi-Singles forum.  Some discussion there that it might not be accurate at '51.

Yebbut .... Most of the people for whom $28,000 for a collector bike is "pocket change" were able to get to that position in life by not spending more money than they have to spend to get what they want.

The question isn't "have they got the money" ... lots of people have that kind of money.   The question is do you have to spend $28,000 to get a nice Falcone?    In other words, what's the market price?   As Patrick says, they don't change hands often, but they change hands often enough to predict what the next nice one might sell for ....

yeah, that's an important distinction lannis.  also, if you are shopping in that price range you can afford to take a tip to italy, find the right bike, and import it back home (no vat too.)

this means that as you approach middle-upper and upper tier prices for bikes you have to consider that the marketplace for comparison shopping  is no longer local.

Hello everyone!  Glad to be part of your group! My name is Bill and I am the one selling this Falcone. The current asking price is a cool $20k and as mentioned by Peter, I am motivated to sell. I had the pleasure of hanging out with Patrick Hayes yesterday and we talked about the bike and Guzzi in general. It indeed seems like this may have been labeled as a 1951 for reasons attributed more to titling goals and less about actual accuracy. It seems to have numbers and parts that dictate a later model. It is tough to say... What I do know is that it is a beautiful example that runs and rides, has some fun history (Swedish Museum) and is for sale at what I think is a fair price.  If details and factory perfect specs are what you want out of a Falcone, this may not be the bike for you, but if you are looking to acquire one to ride and enjoy and turn heads, this is a great machine to snag!

Feel free to give me a ring to chat about the bike if you are interested. (925) 420-4680. Thanks guys!

Hi Wheelhouse and welcome to the forum.  Beautiful bike, as I'm sure all here will agree.  Good luck in selling it and hope it finds a good home.  Unfortunately priced out of my "play budget".

Was this one of the museum bikes that sold at Mecum LasVegas this year? Quite a nice selection of gorgeous Guzzi’s were sold, I would have taken any one of them. IMHO the all original 750S was the best deal of all the Guzz’s sold. I don’t recall the rear fender being damaged on the Falcon at the sale, is this a different bike than lot F195?
