I would be comfortable with 1400ppm. I use the VR1 in the silver bottle. We get it for about 4 dollars a Qt at the neighborhood parts store. The low detergent oil has NOT FOR STREET USE written big and clear on it. I have not seen that for sale at my local parts store. The blue bottle is there synthetic and probably cost more. I have no experience with it.
Yes, I also researched the Mobil 1 v Twin, but that is also not available here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for researching that, but the first site is a US one..There are many Mobil 1 oils available in Europe, but not the Mobil 1 V-Twin formula. Or at least I can't find it. That's the one with the high ZDDP.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
True but the 15-50 available in Europe has 1300 ppm. Same a VRI.
On the VR-1 oil, based on experience, I sold my hot rod 37 Chevy truck 10 years ago. I has a much modified 302 GMC inline 6 engine with a performance flat tappet cam. The engine has only seen VR-1, and is now closing in on 100,000 miles. My friend who owns it now says the engine still runs excellent is clean inside..... From lubrication engineers ; Never add anything to motor oil. It's a complex package of ingredients and additives may destabilize the oil. Buy the oil with the additive package built in.
Vr1: Good for flat tappet cams, available everywhere, Less than 5 dollars a Qt. Seems like a Guzzi natural. It just meets all my needs, piece of mind, ease of procurement and not to expensive.
