Looks like it will make a nice SPORT-tourer.
LOLRight! I bet the color-matched saddlebags will be slick!I wonder if it has electronic cruise control..
Might need to look at an aftermarket seat to be a sport/tourer. At least in that picture there does not seem to be much of a seat there. At least not for my old butt anymore.GliderJohn
Gees, thanks for the update Rock. For $12k, it can certainly put the Jones on.
Nice bike, but Ducati's in terms of long distance ownership still have those high priced maintenance costs. Yeah, they have lengthened the valve adjustment period but it seems to still cost $700 plus for that work depending on location. I'd still like to own a Ducati someday, but not one that would attract high mileage.
Cruise control ? The bars look high, in relation to the seat. Looks like relaxed (for a sporty bike) ergos.SPORT-tourer. No, not a fat pig ST-1300 or R12RT. Those are tourers in my book...
What is the valve adjust interval, now? 12,000 miles?Only expensive if you're riding a lot of miles. As one of several bikes in my garage, I can see that being about once every two to three years.
Gees, thanks for the update Rock. For $12k, it can certainly put the Jones on.With a Bandit and the Sport, I am not sure what I'd do. Sorta redundant. Gosh if they made it lime green and a red frame ...! (OF course those aren't Duc colors.) but RED, whoooee-sir. Luckily I get over these lustful moments over time. I remember when I had that crush on the 1400 Cal, then R1200RT, Suzuki GSXS1000..... I've gotta work it out. Hopefully this phase'll be all over by the time the bike is actually released.
Sheesh... At least get the friggin colors right. White fram and wheels, red bodywork please. Then I'll take another look.Eric
Is Terdblanche back at Ducati? Fugly....
