07 Norge Dash Errors
« on: Today at 10:26:00 AM »
I have this odd problem with the dash errors on the Norge, they can't be erased and I've disconnected the battery and left it overnight.  And the dash errors are as follows:

01-Imobiliser fault
03-Imobiliser fault antenna broken
04-Imobiliser fault internal control fault
06-Air temperature sensor fault
07-Oil Sensor fault

The bike starts, runs and has no Service or Oil Can warnings.  The oil sensor switch is brand new but I'm going to revisit the wire as I reused the original wire with the nail head fitting and want to change it to a new female fitting for the spade terminal on the switch.

But the weird part is why the errors can't be erased. If they could be erased and reappear after starting the bike then I'd know they were valid but that is not the case.

This is with the new/used dash which works fine though the rev counter and gas gauge needles are a bit jangly but that is probably my fault from when I reattached the needles to the mounts.

I have the same issue exactly - I cannot delete DSB in memory.  No errors showing and even after I replaced the Oil Sensor i unit t still shows up in past memory.  Apparently there is no fix for this. I have stumped Ai with this query only to find no answer to a known oft asked question.  using both dashboard to delete and disconnecting battery failed to re set.

Thanks SV, I have no memory if these faults were there before I installed the new/used dash so that doesn't help but it's good to know that someone else has this problem.  I'm guessing Guzzidiag cannot erase these codes? I no longer have a PC or Apple laptop to hook up to the bike or I'd give that look.

I was about to suggest trying to clear with Guzzidiag…that’s the only other remedy I can think of other than disconnecting the ECU at the back with the two large pin connectors and cleaning the pins with Deoxit but being very careful not to get Deoxit on the rubber seals as they will swell and then not be usable or resealable.

Won't work either.  I have tried Guzzidiag both new and older versions without success. AND I am on a MAC

Turned on the switch and got a service warning, went to the dash errors and the 07 error was the only thing wrong and successfully erased it! Weird but I have no idea what happened. Maybe just some mating issue with the new dash?

Now I just have to figure out why it’s throwing a warning with a brand new oil switch unless I just got a bad switch.

The 07 warning came back and now I can't erase the dash error again. Disconnected the battery and will see if that helps, in the meantime I changed the connector to the oil switch but still no good with the warning so I ordered a Duralast PS158 switch. And if that doesn't work, I can either plumb in an oil pressure gauge to make sure the oil pump is working or just open up the front of the engine and see if the pump is broken which I really don't want to do unless I'm sure that it's broken.

IIRR, if you getting the pressure switch error and NOT the low oil pressure warning, the switch could be stuck in the grounded position. Again, IIRR, the ECU checks to see if the switch is working. If it finds it showing pressure when the engine is not running, it will cause the error. It will also have an error if it stays showing no pressure when running, but then I think it throws the no oil pressure code as well.

Just some thoughts,
