I've been a Rocker wannabe for many years and owned many of the same bikes as you: LeMans 5 CI, V11 LeMans and Sport 1100.  IMHO the LeMans 5 is the best of the lot.  Not sure I'm headed down the Cal road just yet.  But time will tell.

I am just now seeing this.  Congratulations, Mike. :thumb:  You are gonna dig the longevity of the EVT.

We have owned two, bought the first one new in 2004, a work horse in travelling all over, from Maine to South Dakota, Alabama, Canada...

Loaded on a long haul across Canada...

And the current '04 EVT bought six years ago...  The EVs have long been my favorite mount.

Cheers,
Rob

Hey Rob

Felix is still riding the '04.  Mileage is unknown, but estimated at around 300,000 (miles).
It's looking a little rough and needs a clutch but the engine has never missed a beat.

Cheers!

Performed a little surgery on the stock windscreen.  Lopped off six inches and man!  What a difference!

Not only can I see much better, but now my helmet is in clean air.  No more air pounding on top of my helmet!

Nice solution !  Windscreen improvement is very rider specific.

Drilling a couple of 3 inch holes fixed it for me...

I'm a fan of windscreen holes, and may yet add some.

I had two problems with the setup as it came to me:  1) Looking through the stock windscreen and the Laminar Lip was murder.  Lots of distortion.   I'm more used to sportsbike-style fairings which are well below my line of sight.  2) The headache-inducing wind vibration on top of my helmet was terrible.

This 6-inch lowering of the screen seems to be about a 90% fix.  Only 70 miles with the cut-down screen so far, though.  A few more miles and I'll make a final decision on the holes.

Rocker's cafe cruiser  ............it does look a tad low Mr Mike but ..

Don't try to catch him in the Ozarks.  You might put your GSXR in a ditch.

Cool!  Do you remember its height?  I only cut 6-inches because I wanted to keep the Laminar Lip hand deflectors.

I'm getting old and slow John.  Doug was ribbing me about the pace I was keeping, while leading our last lunch ride.  Much too slow for his Norge.

I wanna say 14" from base to highest point.  They also made me a small one for summer at 8" total height.

Yeah, well keeping up Doug's Norge on my Duc is a chore and sometimes not at all.

Glad to know that Doug is still around.

New skins!

Michelin Road Classics.  Can't wait to break them in!

I had wanted the Pilot Activ, but it's apparently discontinued.

The old ME33 on the front was date coded 2005.     and mounted backwards.
