What matches the manuals specs that doesn’t have to shipped from overseas?

I’m in a similar situation as slowmover.

I’m in the process of resurrecting a old R100 airhead BMW. What Dot 4 brand/spec would you suggest for this bike?

I have no problem using SuperTech DOT4 or Prestone DOT4. You can buy DOT4 that is 5X as costly, but it does nothing different than any other DOT4.

As long as it meets spec. I don’t see an issue . IMHO the important thing is to change it @ regular intervals as it’s hydroscopic . H2O very bad , at least in a brake system .

Yeah pretty much . I’ve seen different brands w/catch phrases like “heavy Duty” or “High Performance “my fav was “As used in NASCAR”

Really ive never had a issue with any brand DOT4. I use whatever name brand I can get at the time, and just dont keep the opened bottle for decades on the shelf. It absorbs water over time when open. Other then that, just change it once in a while.

Bosch ESI6-32N Brake Fluid (Direct Replacement for DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1) - 1 Quart.  I have been buying this for the last few years.  It is working well and goes in everything I own.
