Title: Jackal mods !
Post by: Ouiji on August 10, 2021, 07:07:46 PM
Hate the heel toe and tractor brake pedal.
Will not any ANY shifter / brake pedal off any
NORMAL Tonti frame work ???
Yes ..I been down this road before with an 02 cali
But it was way too much trial and error.
Love the Jackal ....ditching the Norge... (for sale cheap)
But the shifter, brake pedals are LAUGHABLE.
Hoping for...."buy this shifter /this brake pedal ...
Off THIS tonti...off THAT tonti.
Can I not slap same from an SP for instance.
Thanks for your patience...

I've found the foot controls pretty easy to live with. Do you have pegs or boards on the bike? I've gone back and forth on mine and the controls never really bothered me. I will say the toe only/pegs on my G5 are nice as well.

Good luck and pics always welcome!

Many foot peg/shifter/brake parts from older Tonti framed bikes will work on the Jackal. The problem is finding all the parts to make the complete swap, meaning, besides the foot pegs and brackets, you will also need both the brake and shift lever plus the linkage parts. Also, you may need to be creative with how the linkage connects to the rear brake mastercylinder.

I went this route but again you will need to be inventive with making some parts.
