Title: Diggin' the 70's and 80's bikes
Post by: tazio on May 23, 2020, 04:07:59 PM
Going on as we speak. T.W.O. Motorcycle Campground in Suches, Georgia.
Just got back, 200 miles round-trip, took the '82 CB900c.
Lots of cool older bikes making lovely sounds and great smells too!!
Slab side Gixxer's, giant killer x-6 Hustler's, baby anvil xr75 Honda's....
And on and on..(along w/ great food and socially distanced camaraderie.

Very nice pics Tazio! I love the 80s and early 90s iron. Those Gixxers are gorgeous!

Thanks for posting- especially that little Honda XR-75.  Reminds me of one of my first bikes- a Honda 125.  I rode the snot out of that thing for years- sometimes up to 50 miles round-trip for work- and for awhile with a twisted rear swingarm.  Great, great little bike.  The rider, on the other hand, was an idiot. mostly.

We had an xr-75 quite like the one in the pic.
We called it "Little bear" and took turns trying to wear it out.
No such luck!
Great memories.

Omg that exhaust system on that H2 is gorgeous

If I had those pipes on my bike back in the day, I would never have sold it,lol.  :violent1:

The 70's and 80's were great years for bikes, huge advancements in technology and design.

Tks for sharing

Kelly

I tell you what, I do not miss my 1981 gold wing. Bought it after selling my 1972 R75/5. It was like riding a blast furnace. It did not take long to trade it for a pirate costume and a 1986 FXR low rider. I was confused back then. No real man would be caught dead riding a sport bike . Lol

It’s amusing how the “modern” Moto Guzzi fits right in with the 70s and 80s bikes.

Beautiful! Back when these were pretty new my buddy Jay had a green one with chrome Bassani chambers. Sounded like a thousand very angry bees! Hope he's changed out the nylon swingarm bushings...
