Bought a '16 V7II Stone in May, to replace the '13 Stone I bought in May '13.  Got a good price when I sold the '13.  For me, the ABS/TC, 6-sp gearbox and roomier ergos were worth the cost.  Great bike.

I thought seriously about the Audace.  Rode the V7R into MPH right after they received their first one.  A guy beat me to it, and bought it before I had a viewing/test ride.  Might have bought the Audace if it was not gone.  Not sure if geometry and weight would have been acceptable anyway.

Gave up on the idea of a new Moto Guzzi after MPH let go the franchise.  Without local dealer warranty support:  not happening.

Not sure if we will see the new models in Houston.  We will see if another dealer picks up the franchise.  That could happen in a city of over 4 million.  Then again, the price of oil is now $37 and 2016 looks to be gut wrenching for the local oil industry.  The more thriving medical/construction/finance professionals need to step up and buy more motorcycles.

The more I look at the new Triumph Bonnie T120, the more I like it.  Waiting to see one at the dealer.  Still think if I add a third bike it will be a light cruiser style.

No, I bought a new Bassa in 99, and then a new Breva 1100 in 09.  However one of our local breakfast riders, just bought a new 14 Norge last month.

Bought a new, left over, '12 Norge about a year ago to the day.  Had it for sale but am having second thoughts.  Old work buddy showed me a trick to help with a problem with my left hand that was giving me trouble with the clutch work.  Might just keep it now.  Sure is one nice motorcycle.

Haven't bought one but I've sold a few. Got a bloke picking up a Cali Touring in a few days time, most of the interest is in the V7-II's, especially the Stone.

My view only, but if Ducati had that 400 Scrambler or If MG had a 500 at the time I bought I probably would have gone in that direction for my purposes.  I am however very happy going with the V7............I don't have the exact but it "must" be 100 pounds lighter?

The Ducati 400 Scrambler is no lighter than the 800.   That is a fail in my book, at least for the US market.   I'd only want the 400 if it was 325 lbs or less.   I can only assume that they built the 400, primarily for tiered license markets.

I have a Monster 796 from which the 800's motor came from, albeit in slightly de-tuned form.    I love the torque of this motor.   I can't imagine giving up half the torque.

Is the 400 even COMING to the US?

I assumed it was for Japan and tiered license markets only.

Sadly it's looking like our dreams of a new Lemans is dismal with Piaggio making Guzzi more or less a cruiser and retro line that sport...  I hope Im wrong .

You may be correct and I didn't investigate release countries.......jus t saw on their site but the realization is that there is a turn back to smaller bikes I am sensing.  The kids that work for me are all into some little 125cc Honda and small round town bikes.  They think my V7 is bigger than they want.  I never disliked my V11 but I love the weight of my V7.  Ten years ago all the kids wanted big bikes.

LD,

Someone like Houston Superbikes will probably end up with the Guzzi franchise down there.

Trying to recall, but I believe they're the shop that was trying to get Guzzi a few years ago, but MPH blocked them due to their close proximity.

Someone correct me if it was another dealership.

The smaller displacement bikes are more dangerous to ride than the larger ones.

We will see if Houston Superbike does pick up MG.  They carry Aprilia.  By reputation they are an unknown to me.  They are right by the super mega dealer on the SW Freeway where I bought my Triumph.  Time will tell, it would be good to have a Houston dealer, if they are a quality shop.

Add another small block. I bought a V7ll Stone in May. The sixth gear and abs pulled me off the fence.
I've spent some money on upgrades since. I like the way this bike looks and rides. I don't care how it matches up with "this" or "that" or somebody's vision of what it oughta be. Maybe it doesn't do everything better than any other machine.
But it does one thing extremely well...It makes me happy.
