Launching from Hollidaysburg soon.  Westfield by mid-afternoon ... in theory, at least.

As usual Bill tells about have half the truth. What really happened was, he asked me to help push the EV onto his lift. No big deal, done this many times. But for some reason this time Bill - as I'm pushing - grabs a handful of front brake half way up the ramp. So, I'm pushing and lifting at the same time when I hear a shotgun blast go off in my lower back. The pain was indescribable - we're talking 10 on a scale of 10. Maybe like the closest thing to childbirth that a man can feel. However, being the loyal friend, I hang on and say "Bill - keep it upright." Then I collapse on the floor.

Writhing in agony, Bill calls Kathi to get the job done. Can you imagine the feeling? Here I am, in the most pain I've ever felt (and cumulatively I've broken 11 ribs) and here comes a 100 pound woman who pushes it onto the lift like it weighs nothing. You get the picture.

Then, after the EV is all tied down, and Bill is knee slapping laughing, Kathi says - "Hey Larry, want me to kick him?" What would you say? Hell yeah.

Kathi is so great - she asks, "Do you have a particular body part in mind?" Me - "The nut sack comes to mind."

So, needless to say, she did a number on Bill's crotch. Over and over again.

Heh.

I will ignore (for the moment) Lash's attempt to correct history.

But, to prove we were at the rally, here are some pix from this afternoon:

The only pic I have of Dr. John's (gorgeous) Eldorado was taken on the ride up today.  Yes, despite three GPS's, a map or two, and the court geography jesters, we still managed to get ourselves lost.

Captions for these later ... well except for that scrambler and my lake perch supper.  Mmmmmm to both.

Another fine rally in the books. Thanks Joe!

The weather was fantastic for the entire weekend and we even had a visitor from our Southern contingent, George Westbury, and from the land of cheese, Chris Collins. There was also a great turn out from our Northern neighbors from Canada.

Anyway, it was great seeing everyone, (yeah even the ones I saw in Cedar Vale).

Thoughts go out to those that were missed and couldn't make it!

Once again, a good time was had by all, I believe....

Joe (guzzigarage) did a superlative job as usual.  He's gettin' good at this.  Kustom Workz, the Buffalo Guzzi (& now Royal Enfield) dealer had a wonderful cache of 2-wheeled shiny stuff to drool over.  Good food was enjoyed.  Fish (& frogs) were caught.  Sunsets were absorbed.

Yes, Joe did a fine job of entertaining us all again. Good job to all the folks that put this event on.
I won long distance male and sidecar. Did 500 miles heading there and 630 coming home. Ferry across Lake Michigan being the difference.
Didnt decide to go until Thursday night. Left home at 5ish am on Friday and was back by 730pm Sundays.
Any day of riding is good by me.

Chris - thanks for coming out & joining us, especially last minute.

I think we had a total of 8 different MGNOC reps there.  Coincidentally we also had 8 sidecars in attendance (unless I miscounted).  A very nice mix of bikes this year.  We even had a couple stop in on their CanAm Spyder - not that that would be unusual in & of itself, but they just happened upon us on their way home to Colorado from CanAm's 25th anniversary shindig in Canada.....

Oh and I really liked the color combo on this Touring that the dealer had on display.  Sort of like the '98 EVs  :thumb:

Great time, even though I only made it for the day Saturday in a cage.   This was my 9th year in a row.  Joe knows Guzzi rallies!   Love the crowd.
