New 2018 V7III Special owner
« on: November 28, 2018, 01:39:48 AM »
This weekend I bought my second Moto Guzzi, a new black 2018 V7III Special.  I have been looking at them since 2016, and decided to finally get one.  I like my 1998 V11EV more than I ever expected, and put 28,000 miles on it since August 2017.  At 55,000 miles, I know it has lots of life left, but I wanted another motorcycle I could alternate with for riding to work on California freeways and roads, which means a lot of lane splitting.

I only have 168 miles on the V7, but I love it so far.  I will be putting Givi E21 side cases with gloss black painted lids on as soon as the mounts arrive.  I don't have much to say about it that hasn't already been said, but a post like this isn't really complete without photos, so here they are:

Congrats.  I contemplated the black special to gain the tachometer, but my wife reminded me how much I loved polishing chrome.   :thewife:

Question?  Do E21 and E22 bags use the same pannier mounts?  I have a set of new/unused E21 bags I want to install on my CB1100, but can find no mounts for them.

Maybe the solution is ......... sell the Honda, and buy a V7lll !

Yes they use the same mounts; the Trekker Dolomitis and probably others, also use the same racks. For the V7III, I got mine from Twisted Throttle.
