Guzzidiag does not work with the 1TB models...yet. It's a totally different ECU. Rexxer does work.
I BELIEVE that Guzzidiag is SUPPOSED to work with the 1TB models, but the MAP READING/WRITING software does not yet.
Thanks Sib,Relieved!
Update:Well, I have the bike up on the bench. I have replaced the crashed out parts, repaired and painted the tank and re installed the intake assembly. The shorty slip ons are on there and I have the interface cable from England. We have guzzidiag set up on a lap top, the led on the connector is on indicating proper connection, but we can't get connectivity to the program. It just always says "disconnected". The cable came with some literature that describes the proper procedure but it is a no-go. The bike starts but it looks like no luck on a randomly proper TPS setting. Any throttle kills it immediately.
Damn that sounds a bit like the guy who was on here in NYC that was rebuilding a salvage he'd bought for his girlfriend. He was going to put short mufflers on the thing, and had already changed out the bars to something more flat-tracky... I think there was some talk of it being sorta Scrambler-esque.Wonder if they broke up and this is that bike.Is the speedo normal? I think he was either just refacing it or putting on a custom instrument cluster or something. There's a thread here about it.Anyway, popular theory is that it is very self-adjusting, but like everything it has its limits and that even if self-adjusting some would prefer it remapped anyway. But it sounds like you have your answer - sounds similar to the Guzzitech reflash - remove the ECM (integral with the throttle body in this case), send it for the flash, get it back and have the TPS reset (though I wonder why that's necessary in this case, on the other Guzzitech reflashes that's necessary because the TPS remains behind on the bike's mechanical throttle linkage, but in this case the TPS is integral with said throttle body/ECM assembly and went along for the ride so you would think whoever relfashed it would have reset it too).<shrugs>
The bike is done and is pretty much perfect. TPS reset by dealer did the trick. Loud shorty mufflers, custom lights and paint. Runs great. I am really impressed with the power output. I would love to post a picture of it, with and without the owner. I'll look into how that's done! Thanks guys!
;-TDid you ever get the story why the boyfriend stopped working on it? (#Gossip)
