Are extended ride reviews becoming passe’ ?
« on: March 24, 2019, 04:10:54 AM »
Can I get a sample from the WG mob, as to whether ride reviews like the ones I did for Nordkapp etc. are becoming a bit ho hum ?
I’m not looking for validation or criticism necessarily, but don’t want to embarrass myself or bore the populous to bits by doing another “Europe and Nordkapp Trips” or “Almost that time again” thing, if they’ve worn out their use by by date..
Please be scathing if warranted, if I don’t get something negative, I’ll know someone is holding back.

These reviews from you guys, in other countries and even in America, is the closest I'll ever get to being able to be there myself and see the beauty. By all means, do a in depth review with as many pictures as possibly and thanks for the time and effort in doing so:)

Dan is right , do the damn reports . Just think , in the time you spent worrying about whether to do a report or not , you could have been actually working on one . Stop slacking and get busy  :violent1:

I always enjoy looking at parts of the world I'll probably never see in person and I used to post some ride reports too but it seems like no one is interested so I quit taking the time to do it.

You can't rely on responses , the number of views is more indicative of the interest in a topic . Keep the reports coming fellas .

Ok Dusty, but I just wanted to be sure.
I’d not want to do the same again and have someone say..
“Jeez mate.. didn’t you tell us all that before” ?
This time I’m going from Calais directly East to the Black Sea and turning right down to Turkey to see Istanbul.
Then follow the Coast via Greece around to France and Spain including a hop over to Sicily, so I’ll try to learn from Fotoguzzi and take more shots.
Mine won’t be as good as his because I don’t know how to get them as big, but there’ll  be no shortage.

I love ride reports! No better way to learn about and understand the world around us than encountering the people we share the planet with...I'm always amazed that folks from almost every country who seem to have the least are so generous and welcoming to motorcycle travelers...not to mention the talented mechanics and craftsmen in the most remote locations who can fabricate parts and effect motorcycle repairs seemingly out of nothing but hand tools and magic...

And you can often learn a lot about how well a particular brand and model of bike performs in the long run...

Keep 'em coming.

Daniel K's photo essays are about the closest I will get to a trip around the States.

Yeah those photo’s are great.
I will resolve to get some more human interest type content. My partner Ann always says..

Post links to your YouTube vids. The blokes here can choose to watch or not. I’d love to see vid of the countryside your in. But just films of random corners get pretty dull to me.

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.
