Tell us , what is your favorite silly or mostly useless motorbike related widget , or lucky charm . I've been carrying a "safety beaver" , a little fella that is really a water sports related thing , but since he has been on board there haven't been any incidents , so...

The day I bought the tiger a buddy from work gave me a keychain that had a little chrome ahem....nutsack on it. I took off the keychain, inserted some wire and hung it under the tiger's rear fender. So far the only one to crash the bike wasn't me and no one was hurt. So that little chrome scrotum has run near 70,000 safe miles on the back of a 🐯 tiger.

I have my Karma bell, hung on my VII Sport by Roy Harvey at the Deep Woods Campout
It's a nice feeling to know someone cares about you to wish you safe riding.
I have passed on the Karma to others

That brings up an interesting question. I had someone give me a karma bell, which I put on my EV. When I sold the EV, I left it on the bike. (It did go to a friend.)
Should I have removed it, and moved it to another bike?????

A riding buddy gave me a bunch of red, white, green cuff material from making sports jackets. He made a few jackets w/Italian colors. I cut strips of it and tied it to the backs of my bikes for years. I also put on each one these little heart stickers Bob Farris had that said 'From Italy With Love'.

Should have mentioned the Safety Beaver was a gift also . Little fella lives in my tank bag and never complains about anything

Well, I guess I would have to say the deer whistle things. I've put a set on every motorcycle I've ever ridden on the highway. Almost everyone around here uses them due to the number of critters out there trying to kill us. They probably are useless. But, I figure at $5 a set it's silly not to use them. FWIW, I've never hit a deer on a motorcycle *jinx*. I've hit 2 with vehicles though, neither had those things on them either.

both the flying brick and the yellow sporti have karma bells. i am not in the least superstitious: its just a token of fond memories from miles of touring.
-
on the back of my bike hangs a rubber chicken and a wooden cross hangs on the handel bars. i need it due to the fact my brakelines are rotted...
-
I am not particularly religious or superstitious but ..... I have carried a rosary in my riding coat pocket I bought off a little girl in Mexico many years ago. I feel naked if I put on a coat without it.
-
Not my motorcycle, but for the past 12 years, my mountain bike handlebars have sported a full on wind chime (7 inches long not including hanger portion). I only ride around the neighborhood with the kids, and they know following the tinkling will take them to Mama. I've contemplated bells for Anni, and the scooters (little wind chimes would be a racket/hazard at speed), but wasn't sure where to affix them, and if the sound would be an annoyance.

No Guzzi is complete without the addition of vulcanised poultry.
The End!

true.. true. The poultry on the Mighty Scura was applied by Todd Haven (RIP) and will stay as long as I have anything to say about it.

Slightly odd little promotional item intended to encourage safety at the local kayak park.

How many cows have you picked up
I come from a dairy area, I thought someone was pulling my leg when they told me about those.

After seeing that picture I'm anxiously ready to install my new fenda' extenda'. One trip down a gravel road will convince any Griso owner that you need one. :thumb: Moto Machines has them for $30.

On one bike, I put a bicycle bell. Funny to hear that in traffic and watch the drivers of cars looking it.

this throttle lock thing works amazing for such a simple device.

Wouldn't the cow magnet work better if mounted in front of the tire instead of behind? Jurgen

^^^^ It seems that most nails are picked up in the rear tire. The theory being the front tire setting it up for the rear. I'd say the cow magnet couldn't hurt.
