Flickr works fine on the computer. I haven't seriously tried to post from the smart phone. I copied the url and pasted one time, and WG gave me the "huh?" It can Shirley  be done..

If I copy the URL and paste it into the post, I get a link that takes you to the Flickr site. That's fine, but you can't see an embedded image.

If I insert the URL between the two (img) thingies, then I get this:

But like you say Chuck, I'm doing all this from a phone. I can't see any other kind of link I could paste. Hhmm

   ah, sorry.

well, in the main Flickr app I could only copy the URL which would link to the picture in Flickr but will not embed an image.
But in the separate Flickstackr app, you can see your Flickr content but also click on the share icon to get a BBCode in various sizes. i just copied that and pasted it , e.g. below (without using any insert button here). It's really quite quick and easy.

Thanks, John.. I'll give it a shot. Flickrstacker app, eh?  <sigh> I'm slowly stumbling into the 21st century.

Chuck, it's called "Flickstackr". Don't know why they left the "r" out.

Believe me Chuck I feel exactly the same way! Why Flickr have a bbcode option and then it won't work on my iPad I have no idea but it is one of those 'Grumpy old man puce with rage' things that drives me demented. The flickstackr or whatever it's called app is still a bit long winded but at least it's doable!

On another topic I actually saw two Guzzis on the road yesterday! A hydro Cali and a B11 heading east on the A27 near Dorchester (?)

Using Flickstackr app.

Open your photo stream and choose a pic. Here's Clancy's V7-II.

Then choose 'Share', the little joined bar-bell icon, and then bbcode. Finally choose the size you want and hit 'Copy'

Open browser and WG or whatever board and paste in the link. Just crop off the author from the end of the link like so.

That way you don't get the annoying 'By So and So' after the pic.

Thanks for posting the instructions Pete.
I like this because it avoids having to paste something between those (img) things that I had to do with the Photobucket link. Theoeritcally you could just collect a list of BBCcodes and copy then into your post in one go and you'd have a photo story. Nice.

BUT.. Be aware that if somebody clicks on the photo and then clicks on "Back to photostream" in Flickr, they'll be looking at all your other public photos and albums too! You may not want that. If you set all your photos to "Private", then the person clicking on a link will only see that particular photo, and not all the others.
