Right now I can't find any degrees in my yard.  They have all gone away.  The TV says my area will be going into
degree debt tonight.  Hate it when it does that.
Maybe I should just watch a movie, maybe that one from Fargo N. D.

Well it snowed again yesterday.  My sister (who is vacationing in Florida) called a snow removal company and gave me their number.  I called and got their recording, they did not call back.
This morning I woke to find they had been here and removed snow from the wrong place.
I called again but only got their recording.  Now I will be billed for something that did not help.

Another subzero week is predicted wth a little more snow. Crap, more time incarcerated at home.
I went out to watch a neighbor shovel snow away from my truck.  Very kind of him.
It was painfully cold.  No I wasn't wearing my cargo shorts and tank top shirt.

When I was sick back in Sitka I couldn't shovel the sidewalk.  We're supposed to keep the section in front of our houses clear and it's kind of embarrassing to be the only one on the block who didn't do it.  One night someone came by in the wee hours and plowed my driveway and the sidewalk in front of my house.  They did it for a couple of winters whenever it snowed bad.  I never found out who it was.

I knew it was extremely slippery, I was very careful, and fell on the ice yesterday morning.

Fortunately no injury  -  this time. Fractured an ankle back in 1991 when I splipped on ice, am still wearing the piece of metal they screwed on to mend the fractured bone (not that it's necessary any longer, but they won't remove it if it doesn't bother me).
So, only 27 years later, I've learned my lesson and started strapping crampons onto my boots when it's icy.

Happy New Year, Jim, I hope your snow and ice disappears soon!

Not likely, it was 19 below zero last night but has warmed up to 8 below at noon today.

It will be back down to more than 11 below tonight.  I opened a vent in the duct that will pour heat into the basement.  I hope it will warm the floor under my feet a little as well as make the basement warmer.
