California Stone 1100 bin file
« on: March 23, 2024, 04:09:21 PM »
Hi to everyone, I bought a used California Stone 1100. I’m searching for the original bin file for the 15M ECU equipped on it, because the previous owner confessed me that he had re-mapped it.
Thank you

Guzzi changed mapping like their shorts go by year is better. May be the same as a Jackal.

I have a California bin  15M C3 61600.381.01 501604710400 , don't know what it's from.

What does the tag say on outside of ECU?
What XDF file are you using? TunerPro or other?

How does it run? I had terrible running issues with my 02 stone when I got it, and tried a few different maps till I got one that was close. If its running well, I would just work with what you have. SOme of the stock maps were pretty bad.

I am interested in a map to try in my 04 EVT, have some popping on decel when warm, have checked for leaks, not seeing any cracks on hpipe or crossover. Looking thru the Ancient Wisdom here, pauldaytone had some maps, that some folks used, is he still active on WG?

Popping on decell usually means idle mix is a bit lean. Go up a few numbers on idle mixture.

Hi! I’m using the latest XDF file available on the official guzzidiag web page for the California 1100 Stone (version 2.52 if I remember correctly)
The ECU is a 15M, and I think there are no differences between Stone and Jackal.
Would you like to send me the original bin file?
Thank you.

Hi! It runs in very terrible way… very irregular at medium RPM and the engine has a bad idle and shut down after acceleration. Works fine only at high RPM.
Already cleaned intake groups and verified 150mv in total closed TPS.
Already tuned correctly, but no differences.
Thank you.

Hi! I’m not able to find it on the web site you shared.
Would you like to send me the original bin file?
So I may test it.
Thank you.

Has your bike always run crappy? Is it something new?

What did you set the TPS to. I seem to remember 515-540 for that one. Has the TPS been replaced recently? It's old and a common issue. There is a site I don't remember the name that sells them for under a $100. Search it here. On my 2001 the trim had to be at +30 or I had issues. Take care of the basics before worrying about a map.

Hi! The TPS works correctly all over the range.
After cleaning everything and adjusted valves clearance, I set it at 150mv to the zero point, then take it to 500/525mv by the little 2.5 screw.
And so on to the other operation for the correct tuneup.
But still bad idle after accelerating (only after that) and poor performance at initial throttle aperture. Works fine only at high RPM.
Maybe someone may do a backup of the bin on his bike to share with me?
So I’m sure to start with a clean and original Moto Guzzi map for California stone.
Because, if you red up, the previous owner, confessed me to have remapped with TunerPro, but with no knowledge of what is he doing and how to rollback. Also without a backup…

PS about the CO TRIM, I found it at -4 value, but I’m not able to correct to 0. The value seems like no saving when guzzidiag tell me to shut off the emergency sto button!
Thank you.

That would help to get the trim up. There are some oddities to getting the trim to set, like it needing to be at full temperature.

As Wayne mentioned, and Guzzidiag should as well. The bike needs to be up to a certain temp to adjust and save the trim. IIRR 60C. DG should say the temp.

Is the Tuner Pro still on the bike or did you remove it? Tuner Pro should not alter the factory installed map in the ECU. Someone could have altered the stock map to make it work better with TP, but I doubt it.

When you set the TPS. You said " and so on for the tune up". When you did the TPS, you followed the instructions about removing the tie rod between the TB's? Set the TPS side and balance in the other correct?

I can send you an EV Touring bin, but I don't know what the differences are to a Stone.

I have two maps saved on my computer.  One is a 61601-381-02 and the other is 61600-035-00.  I don't know which is better or what the difference is.  I can say that they both work on my 2003 california ev.

Hi! Not necessarily. I set the CO Trim to +15 by modification of the eeprom file.
And thanks to the correct map, now I obtained an optimal result!
Thank you!

Hi!
I removed the tuner pro. I would like to bring it to the original conditions.

About the TPS procedure, whit the tune up I mean the correct procedure to initial setup.

I really appreciate if you send it to me for testing.
Thank you very much.

I don't know how to attach the bin file through the PM.  It only lets me add links or images.

You have to send it in email attachment for it to get there.

Just wondering if he used the bin file I sent him. Glad he's getting some results now.
