I am collecting my new bike in a couple days but id love to see other peoples 1200 sports :)

Congrats on the 1200 Sport! I seriously looked at them as a Breva 1100 upgrade but decided on a Tenni Griso instead.
Be sure to search out the threads on common issues like 'startus interruptus' - an issue with the starting circuit that's easily fixed.

My 1200S. I am using Griso Bars with a Moto International bar riser, Corbin seat 1" taller than stock and pegs with a 1 inch drop. The Engine, drive train and electrical system is from a 2013 Griso.

Mine has been very trouble-free so far. Have about 90k on it. A well-balanced all-around bike.
You can always find a nit to pick if you are a cup is half empty sort

First long trip after my refresh. Bike was in great shape, but wanted to over all and made a few changes, added oxford grips, USB power up front, put in a new dash, and a few other things. Fantastic at 74K miles.

My second 06 Breva. I still have to do my cosmetic mods to it (powder coat the peg brackets black, Mana mirrors, black out the spontoons). The only thing I've done to it so far is the MIVV carbon can.

That can looks great. I painted my tank inserts with "dark grey bumper coating" SEM and the gray matches the porkchops PERFECTLY.

But I feel like you painted the porkchops on your old one black?

But I feel like you painted the porkchops on your old one black?
I was thinking about painting those Chrome flashes White to match the white on the fairing and rear cowl and then add a red stripe to match what I've added to the white sections.
The Chrome just seems out of place to me.

Steve, great to see the old gal is getting so much attention from you. This bike was truly one of my all-time favorites. A wonderful mile-muncher. I'm sure she'll do well by you!

Hey I need some of those fancy wave rotors from the Sport 1200 on my breva... fork lowers look the same.. is this a straight bolt-on swap?

Agreed! OTOH, if your existing B11 rotors were warped, and you were faced with having to replace them, that'd be a different story. But if present brakes work well, installing the wave rotors would be more of a farkle.

yeah mine are fine, got a crudded up bobbin or two that is giving me a very faint pulse at low speed, but I am going to clean those out this weekend. It would totally be a cosmetic upgrade only, but now that I've seen them I might set a search on ebay or check with some breakers....

I recall reading somewhere one can use a cordless drill to spin the bobbins free and avoid the disassembly. Guess it depends on how much crud is there and how lucky you're feeling.

I use a short flange bolt and a flange nut that I tighten down finger tight thru the bobbin and then spin with a bit driver while I blast them out with brake cleaner. works pretty good and quick

I currently have put 34,000 miles on my 08 1200 sport since purchasing it used in 2013. The three day, 1400 mile trip home gave me a really good idea what this bike was like. During that ride home, I nicknamed it the “Bull Train”. It feels and looks like a bull and runs like a freight train on the open road. It looks and feels the way I want a bike to be, something from the 1970’s.
I love the sound and feel. Very well balanced. Wherever I choose to ride... back roads, city streets, parking lots, interstates, solo or 2-up and fully loaded, it works so well.
Only problem I had was the startus interruptus the kit fixed that. With saddlebags, racks and tank bag, fully gassed it’s roughly 590 lbs but once rolling, it’s very well balanced. And being a one year only model, probably less than 125 are on the road, A rare one. Most riders don’t like the stock handlebars but they fit me fine. Lowered the foot begs 1.5” and raised the seat 1” and that made it fit right. Otherwise it was too cramped. A keeper for life.

It looks and feels the way I want a bike to be, something from the 1970’s.
I sat mine alongside a '70's superbike (Suzuki GS1000S) and felt the same way. If you love that style of bike you'll like the 1200 Sport.

Well, I wouldn't go that far.... lol
I own what was by my estimation (what ever that is worth) three outstanding 1970's models, a 1979 Yamaha XS1100, 1978 XS 750 Triple and a 76 Guzzi Convert. All great bikes, air cooled, shaft drive, but the Breva Chassis 1200 Sport is so much more refined, planted, capable. I cant wait to get my new seat on it, having Sargent build the riders section of the stock seat up about 1.5" and keeping same shape. This is my only issue, the seating position is too tight for uber long trips.
But you are right, the bike runs like a bull. It is very much like the Griso, but with the sharp edges rounded and smoothed. Sport bike like brakes, near sport handling and great comfort. I also find the bike more forgiving than the Griso when it comes to tire pressures and suspension setup. The Griso can be a pig if the suspension is not set for your weight. The 1200 Sport is always happy....
I'm also thinking of adding those new HB side cases in black and white to match the white flashes on the Sport. I have the 30l bags and they aren't great for long trips.
