I love nothing better than sitting in my tiny workshop at the end of the day gazing at my Guzzi whilst sampling a little Makers Mark and listening to some vintage Dylan - anyone else ?
Just realized the album I'm listening to is from 1962 Jeebers I must be getting old.

Portland eh ??
Haven't been down there for ages, do you still work or retired ?
What Guzzi/s do you have ?
-
Retired since November so still getting used to doing what I want instead of what the railways want.
My one and only bike is a V7 Special, really love it but TBH I regret selling my 1200 Sport.
I thought you had gone through Portland in your truck recently - maybe Portland Vic ?
Glenn

ummm, no

the use of the word "jeebers" is a flag up on issue of age! Hee hee hee!
-
Does having a beer and listening to "the Basement Tapes" count??

Sorry yes.
Was up there as you say through Bathurst then down to Sydney.
I always think of Portland as Victoria... :embarrassed:
-
I like to sit on my patio listening to the Dead, sipping scotch, smoking a cigar, and taking photos of birds.
-
It's always nice to gaze at the sculptured lines of a Guzzi with a cold beer after a long day! :boozing:

Agreed! Why subject oneself to Makers Mark?
-
I had to stop with the beer,so I drink Makers Mark as well.I put both feet in the wood box and relive my many memories from yesteryear!
I have 4 Guzzi's,just one would keep me busy
-
Great music is timeless...like fine whiskey...my libation of choice is Tullamore Dew...
-
No. Forty years ago a new Guzzi would make me look at it when I passed it Now checking on plants to see if they have poked out of the ground in spring will make me look twice.

Winter is spent making "vroom-vroom" noises in my head while I stare at my bikes. I think it's universal among riders.
The vice changes, the music changes... but otherwise? All the same.

We have a kegerator in my shop, so it has become a gathering place for everyone who visits our farm. The shop is climate controlled, so it's a comfy place to warm up or cool down depending on the time of year. Lately, I've been rocking John Prine's Pandora channel and sipping Negra Modelo.

Michters (or Bookers) & Zeppelin........... .......... Wife thinks I'm nuts...........

Robert Earl Keen on Pandora and $0.99 Miller High Life 24 ouncers for me. But I am pretty sophisticated with a discerning palate

I have my toys in my 'other' garage. Wife even tells me, "you need to go to the garage" occasionally. Set up with a nice set of speakers, you usually hear the Dead rolling through. Beer outside- whiskeys inside at night.

Love a bike that light will shine through the engine, quite pretty.

Too cold in the garage to sit and gawk at the bikes. I just give 'em a pat on the seat and go inside and make a nice Manhattan with some Bulleit Rye and put on some Dylan or Etta James or Miles Davis or Tony Rice or Leon Redbone or Muddy Waters or Santana or Poco or New Riders of the Purple Sage or something like that :thumb:
