'80 Laverda

Just doing the final adjustments to this beast. It's been eye opening what a combine company can do. And can't

Beautiful.  Of course, Lamborghini is a tractor company.  Italians are remarkable.

I always wanted a Laverda.  You'll have to let us know how it is to ride.  A friend had one and likened it to 'you never want to meet your heroes' but he's more of a vintage guy.

He lost the run of himself.

I rode a few miles on this RGS 1000 the other day - my first spin on a Laverda. Very impressed. Gorgeous triple howl, stable handling, comfortable riding position, plenty of go - especially over 4000 rpm. I couldlearn to like one of these.

Yes, beautiful!
If Triumph can make a good living off their New generation Bonnevilles.
Why can't Laverda  do the same?

Back in the 80's, I had a 1975 Laverda 750 SF2.

It was a cool Italian twin!  Heavy, but very solid and steady.       ...and who cares if the engine looked like a Honda 305?

Here's some good Laverda Jota soundtrack.  If impatient, start at 9 minutes 10 seconds.

I owned a '98 668 Ghost Strike Laverda. A wonderful bike that I should have kept, but.........  However, to answer Steph, Laverda was bought by Piaggio back in the early 2000's and unfortunately, mothballed.  We will probably not see it resurrected.  I'm still a part of the N.A.L.O.C. today.  Laverda's are great motorcycles !!!  The Kid

"In 2000 Aprilia bought both Moto Guzzi and Laverda. Aprilia revitalised Guzzi and unveiled a new Laverda SFC prototype. Sadly, as it was based heavily on an Aprilia RSV1000 it didn’t generate much interest. Then Aprilia fell into difficulties and, in 2004, they were acquired by Piaggio."
