Muffs off for the spring

So I took the muffs off yesterday. Tucano Urbano muffs have got me through the British winter. They have enabled me to be comfortable right through the frost and rain. Sub zero mornings are not a problem - I wear summer gloves, and rarely use my Oxford heated grips.

But they are unsightly. And I often get the horn instead of the indicator switch.

So, when the first real warm sunny spring day arrived, I thought the time had come. It was glorious riding in the sunshine, muff-free.

Today, however is cold and damp. I'm not putting them back on. Yet.

I was loaned a set of Stelvio hand guards to try on the Breva
They haven't gone on as I couldn't abide the look
Coldish (its got heated grips) for me

Yeah, the look is not great. But the muffs are amazingly effective. The only thing that has genuinely kept my hands comfortable in sub zero riding.

I put mine on my bike yesterday and took a very nice ride around the countryside.  Hands were nice and warm, the windshield helped as did the heated vest, long underwear, etc.  Temps here were in the low 40's (f).

Spring preparations continue. I got the Termignoni out of it's winter quarters ( a box) and gave it a good polish. If the weather continues to look mild, I might put it on tomorrow.

I have never changed maps for the Termig. Should I? I run it with the db killer.

What map are you currently running? In any case leave the dBk in.

It's a stock map, which the dealer loaded when the roller conversion was done. Do you need to know more than that ( I have Guzzi diag and cables).

I much prefer the way the bike runs and sounds with the dB killer in.
