Not often mentioned (at least during summer)
On cold days you can hold your legs close to the cylinders to keep warm.

You can also keep warm with the countless score of babes who are so excited to ride 2-up.

It was falsely advertised to me when I bought my first bike that they'd be dropping from trees.

There were no shortages of young ladies wanting to ride up and down Daytona Beach on the back of my bike when I was a teenager.  I thought it was interesting that they would hop on the back of the bike in their bikini, but wouldn't dare get in a car.

You must be riding a big block because I have never felt heat coming from my V7III engine while wear proper riding pants.

Late August 2020 I went up and over Beartooth pass, https://www.yellowstonepark.com/road-trips/scenic-drives/beartooth-highway-scenic-drive/ , heading from Red Lodge, MT going to Cody, WY. Going over the top I was in the clouds and it began to snow. Thankfully the ground temp was warm enough to prevent the snow from sticking and freezing but the air temp was well below freezing as the puddles of water at the roads edge began to ice over. I was grateful for the heated grips but then again every bike I have had for the last twenty years has had them. I was also grateful for the motor putting off some heat, especially when I got stopped for road construction. I left the motor running and literally snuggled up to the dang thing. But what really saved my butt on that particular morning was the ABS.
In the end I only froze my butt off in the snow for less than 10 miles as I went over the very top and was glad to get back down to lower elevation and sunshine again.

Hi Yogi,                                                                                                       12-4-21

I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I "behold" that my Cali 1400 is road art.  Some bikes look too industrial, or too boxy or just bare and functional.  (Once again...eye of the beholder).  The Cali 1400 seems to be the right blend of form and function.  It looks great and it works.

Be well, stay well,
DougG
A possum playing possum is no big deal.  Find one that can play giraffe, now you got yourself something!

Other than it being the most dependable motorcycle brand I’ve owned and that old hoary engine putting a smile on my face, about the only other benefit to owning a Guzzi is it giving you access here to Dusty, Ralph Glorioso, and all the other old farts  :azn: on here who know a lot more than I do about a whole lot of things.   :thumb:
