V7 Racer numbering
« on: April 10, 2019, 06:04:31 PM »
My 2013 V7 Racer is numbered "limited edition" 374 on the headstock which also happens to be the last three digits of it's VIN. Are they all numbered this way?  Is it 374 out of the worldwide total production of this model or is this 374 out of the number imported to the USA?

I hope not or someone made a mistake with my Carbon.  It is number 0006 on the Vin and 0009 on the plate.  Of course if it is a mistake that would make it more valuable.

It is number 374 for the USA for 2013. 2014 will start over at 001

The only thing "limited" about V7R is they are not as "limited" as you think.

That is actually kind of special.  I don't think there is any matching VIN to limited edition number.  Mine do not match.  So you have a rare limited edition model.

I could be wrong, but I thought the first edition racers numbers and vin's matched, and after that they said F it on all the other "special" editions.

Sounds about right.  How far off are the vin and edition number on your wife's carbon?
