Seems plausible. I drop a box end wrench over the adjuster nut then clamp a tiny vice grip to the flats on the adjuster stud and with hand hold the vice grip while I turn the box end wrench. Not as elegant as the proper tool but it works for me.
Size on tappet studs is 8x1mm. Guzzi went from a 13mm nut to a lighter 11mm nut about T3 era. If that became a 10mm nut it would leave only 1 mm of metal thickness. Unless it was made of some type of unobtanium ($$$/ Guzzi content) it would be weak IMHO.
I cut a groove in a 3/8" or so allen wrench (with a Dremel) to turn the adjuster. You can use it with a box end wrench on the nut.Rich A
I check the rocker clearance on my T3 once in a blue moon (maybe every 10K miles) just out of guilt.
That guilt motivates me to look after the poor things once every so often as well.
Found a tool similar to Motion Pro, but made for 11mm Guzzi tappet adjustment nuts. No affiliationhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/Moto-Guzzi-Valve-Adjustment-Tool-850-1000-1100-Big-Blocks-NEW/142165705809?hash=item2119bc8451:g:9LMAAM
