Nostre annuale guzzisti giro montagna neve e Tassie
« on: January 15, 2019, 07:32:01 PM »
For my non-illgloomy mates and all you snow-bound northern hemispherers..  (picture hosting site is slow, be patient or reload)

As the subject notes, this is our annual guzzi run through the Oz Snowy mountains and this time also down to Tasmania..

Bikes: 2007 Bellagio and mate was on stock V7 Cafe. Bellagio is 936cc, twin-plugged, short-stroke push-rod, parts bin special  mods include Agostini single exhaust, tarrozi clip-ons, V7 racer steel tank, leather seat, 80s square-head rocker covers, mapping by Roper, maintained by Motociclo..

Nice tour - thanks for the pictures.  Shoreline pictures are great.

I was under that impression that Tasmania was forested but this looks like scrub similar to dry country or alpine stunted growth.  Has this area been logged or suffered forest fire or am I mis-judging the scale?

Bikes and roads look really fun.   :thumb:

That pic is of the Vale of Belvoir conservation area up in the high country, Tassie is well forested, and forestry is a big industry.. see some of the other shots on day 5

You can see the road winding through for scale..

VERY NICE.

Thanks for posting this.

I've gotta get down there.

My son spent part of his college years in Australia and he loves it there.
