Bikes for a NZ Trip

A buddy and I are planning a trip to NZ early next year, probably end of January.
Renting a bike is too expensive $1000+ per week so we are thinking of buying and re-selling after the trip.

If anyone has a bike there they are willing to loan out we could buy, use and sell back so you have no risk.

Ideally I would like a Guzzi but some sort of adventure bike like a Vstrom may have to suffice.

Check out www.trademe.co.nz for bikes for sale there. Guzzi prices seem somewhat high at present. SV 650's, for example, seem more reasonable

I expect to have the 1100 Sport back on the road there in October. I'll ask around when I'm over there again in Oct-Nov & see what we can turn up.
