Consumption..... A parts dealer friend in Dawsonville GA said yesterday morning that there was no gas to be had around him, so he doubted he would be able to make the AMCA Southeastern National in Denton NC this weekend. This situation won't help their event. I had a short truck trip with a friend for some bikes & a granite trip to GA planned for this week, but it can all wait.
Yep, the state is dry. At least north of Atlanta is.I passed a station that still had gasoline last night, with a long line down the street. An hour later when I past by it again, it was closed. I didn't see any other opened station in the area north of Atlanta. I had planned a trip to North Carolina, but that's not happening.

Well, if there is no gas in Dawsonville, Ga I doubt there is any by Suches Ga. Geez, so much for traveling to TWO Suches this weekend. Oh well, time to buy a bicycle.
Just like the old “Bachman Turner overdrive” song goes YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET BA BA BA BABY YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET”Yesterday day I lucked up and got the last tank left in Ash Co, where our river house is a 10:00 AM from a little country store near the house. When I called the attendant said that all was left was the Non ethanol at 3.70 per gallon. When I arrived 15 minutes later I was fourth in line. The pump quit at 20 gallon, enough for me to get back home today to Winston Salem, 100 miles away. 😡😡😡 is all I’ve got to say about this subject.
Before this happened, there were already reports of pending gasoline availability issues this summer due to a lack of properly credentialed CDL truck drivers to make local deliveries. The panic stuff plus slow replenishment of empty stations will likely be a bad combination, even when the pipeline comes back online. I'm just waiting to hear about some Bubba and Drunk Bobby getting tired of waiting & then getting blown up when they decide to tap a hole into the big line with a drill and a hole saw.....I spent much of yesterday with no phone, no internet and no spare gas to go anywhere. It was like being back on the farm- just go to work and have no worries about distractions. Life has been a lot worse.

Wayne, when u can get this way, if central Piedmont’s is near your destination, give me a shout👍
If Friday is nice I have 4-5 gallons of 87 here for you and my V85 is full. We'll have the mountains to ourselves and Smokin Jims BBQ also.
Just curious, but is this related to the hacking of the pipeline company or -?
Never ever trust that gas station near TWofS to have gasoline. They have had money issues over the years and they are often closed down, even in good times. You need to head south to Dahlonega, or Turners Corner at least.
