New tires $44ea
« on: May 25, 2022, 06:05:21 PM »
It was time for some new tars as the old ones were almost a decade old and getting hairline cracks. Shopped around and finally found what I was looking for and only $44ea shipping included.

Spent about an hour changing them out and all is well. If the weather holds, I take them for a test ride tomorrow and see how they perform.

Looks like a rain tire. Just in case the grass is wet?    :thumb:

Where did you find them? My Cub Cadet 2185 still has the original skins, and they're about done.

Ive used those before, and had good luck with them. A good mix between a mild "not mess up the lawn" but still good grip that you dont get stuck, or skid around every turn.

I was able to try out the new tars. At first I was very careful because of the mold release compound so I too it slow the first few passes. The tars really gripped well and seem to heat up quickly. I even ran over a dog turd and these tars stayed straight and true worth no slippage. Once the tar's had a few laps on them I pooshed them a little harder in the turns and was able to knock off the chicken strips. I found that even in off camber 180 degree U-turns at the property line these tar's stuck like glue and held the corner with amazing precision. They are very confidence insuring. I did find that at top near speed (3-1/2 mph) there is a slight vibration but that might have been a piece of turd still stuck in the thread throwing off the balance Might remove the wheels and have them computer balanced if the problem persists. All in all for $88 + tax I'm satisfied and would recommend these to anyone.  :thumb:

First and foremost, let me thank you for recognizing the difference between tars and tires. Currently running 22psi but once summer sets in I'll back it down to 20.12psi to accommodate for the heat index.
