Tongue in cheek I'm sure...not that I'm a big Texans fan, but it was fun to hear the buzz from time to time about them having a decent year here in town.

Now the poor Packers...those guys are suffering!

I guessed it was football, although I had to think why they're still playing in the dead of winter.   Texans - I didn't know there was a Texans, there was an Oilers and a Cowboys in Texas last time I watched a game.   Now it's just a bunch of spoiled millionaires on steroids running around.   Used to actually be something .....

Yeah , no doubt , back when the players all wore leather helmets and no one knew what a concussion was it was a better game . Geez , these new guys , what is that quarterbacks name , Staubach , yeah , big sissy he is .

As life long Houstonian. Our pro football teams never seem to not find ways to disappoint. Hell has frozen over twice. The Astro's were in the World Series twice and won once.  I doubt I will be alive when our pro football team will be in the SuperBowl. Our only chance was when they went on Strike. A strike will hurt a good team's performance. Mediocre team's seem to improve during strikes. Ken Stabler was incredible until the good teams recovered.

Yeah , but you had those two incredible NBA teams led by Hakeem .

I lived in deep East TX in the Dickie Thon Astros era , seemed like they were always on the cusp of something great , then Dickie got beaned in the face , it's like they couldn't recover . Or the almost champs led by Earl , so close , and yet so far .

At least we have been able to host the Superbowl twice here in Houston...that's almost as much fun as having a team playing in it!  :)

Please.  We lost FOUR IN A ROW.  And the foot in the crease with Brett Hull.  It's sports hell here.

The Colts were well-prepared. It was a great weekend for football. Next weekend should be good, too; interesting matchups...

Snowing in KC , might be tough for a team that plays indoors .

My Saints spotted Philly 14 points in the first, yet notched a win. I guess it took a quarter to knock off the rust...

Certainly, KC was the better team on that day for whatever reason. Our over achieving rookies and no name free agents were out played.
A really uncharacteristic poor performance by the Offense, though. That's hard to explain..
I'll still wear my Colts jacket, though.. :thumb: Wait until next year.  Hope springs eternal.
